Liberty Hill is on State Highway 29 in the Hill Countryqv fifteen miles west of Georgetown and thirty-three miles northwest of Austin in Williamson County. It lies between the north and south forks of the San Gabriel River.

Many of the old cut-stone buildings that formed the town of Liberty Hill in the late 1800's and early 1900's are still standing today. Other old early-day Liberty Hill buildings, located downtown have been restored and support new businesses.
